Do you write? Do you want to write? Whether you’ve written twenty books or twenty words, or you just fancy giving it a go, come along to North Tyneside Writers’ Circle.
Novelists, poets, playwrights; all are welcome in this new group, supporting writers of all ages and abilities.
NTWC is run by The Next Page, and hosted by North Tyneside Libraries, and will run on the third Saturday of most months from 11 am to 1pm in North Shields library. It’s FREE to enter and there’s no need to book in advance.
Our inaugural session on Saturday 21st January featured Sue Miller talking about the writing, publication and promotion of her book 20/20 Vision: They Didn’t See It Coming.
February’s Writers’ Circle attracted 22 writers who were given writing prompts and homework by Jennifer C Wilson.
March’s NTWC took place on Saturday 18th March and featured poet Steve Urwin talking about and performing his work.
We had a break in April but were back on Saturday 20th May with writer Mark Iveson talking about his work. On Saturday 17th June Clare Pepper from North Tyneside Libraries talked about the annual Story Tyne Festival. Our last meeting before the summer break will be on Saturday 15th July and we’ll be heading for drinks afterwards. Join us!
